What You Will Do
Design, execute, and deliver software/product features and upgrade existing systems. Develop and adopt the best practices in software engineering design, testing, version control, deployment and documentations.
Develop RESTful web services to support both internal and external clients with high volume and high performance.
Write reliable, maintainable, well documented code that will scale to support millions of respondents.
Execute full software development life cycle as part of an Agile team.
Collaborate with Product Managers to refine and modify requirements.
Follow established design paradigms and design patterns. Perform unit testing and integration testing practices.
Participate in on-call rotation to monitor shipped features for success and issues. Support the business teams and product managers in data extracts and data analysis. Develop software for user interface, business logic, data modeling and systems and component integration.
Develop real life business solution by recognizing, adopting best practices, writing high quality code, solving business problems with technology by detecting root cause, developing pragmatic solutions, and using knowledge of data structures to solve complex problems.
Utilize the following tools/technologies: Python, NodeJS, Angular, Docker, JIRA, Swagger, Postman, HTML, CSS, as well as Firebase/NoSQL and Google Cloud Functions/AWS Lambdas.
Position allows working from home anywhere in the United States. Headquarters located at 365 Canal Street, Suite 3100, New Orleans, LA 70130.
What We Are Looking For
The qualified candidate must have at least a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related field.
The qualified candidate must have at least 1 year (12 months) of experience in a software development position, or closely related occupation.
The qualified candidate must have at least 1 year (12 months) of experience with all the following: (a) executing full software development life cycle in an agile environment; (b) developing software for user interface, business logic, data modeling, and system/component integration; (c) debugging and solving software problems; (d) supporting business needs in data extracts and data analysis; (e) working with data structures, algorithms, and software design; (f) performing unit testing and integration testing; (g) writing reliable, maintainable, well-documented code that will scale to support a large volume of events; (h) building analytics tools that utilize data pipelines to provide actionable insights; (i) utilizing the following tools/technologies: Python, NodeJS, Angular, Docker, JIRA, Swagger, Postman, HTML, CSS as well as Firebase/NoSQL/equivalent, and Google Cloud Functions/AWS Lambdas/equivalent. All experience may be gained concurrently.
Anticipated Salary Range (US Only):In California, Colorado, New York City and Washington, the anticipated pay range for this role is $95,000 to $130,000 annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
